What we collect
Software (Zano Wallet desktop app): nothing. The desktop wallet does not phone home, ships no telemetry, and transmits no usage data to us. Wallet data — keys, transaction history, contacts — stays on your device.
Site (zanowallet.io): limited anonymized analytics — page views, referrer, browser type, country (derived from IP and discarded). Standard server access logs are retained briefly for operational and security purposes.
What we don't collect
- No email addresses (we don't ask for any)
- No accounts or signups
- No wallet contents, addresses, or balances
- No persistent IP logging beyond standard transient server logs
- No cross-site tracking, no advertising IDs, no fingerprinting
Cookies
The site uses essential cookies only — for example, to remember your accepted cookie banner choice. No third-party tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, no behavioral profiling.
Third-party services
The /exchange and /zano-price pages query the public CoinGecko API for live price data. Those requests are made from your browser to CoinGecko directly. No personally identifying data is sent — see CoinGecko's own privacy policy for what they record. We do not share any data with them.
Data retention
Server access logs are auto-purged within 30 days. Aggregated analytics are retained indefinitely in non-personally-identifiable form. We have nothing personal to retain because we don't collect anything personal.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
European (GDPR) and California (CCPA) residents have rights to access, correct, delete, and port personal data we hold about them. Honestly: we don't have any to give back, correct, or delete, because we don't collect personally identifying information. If you believe we hold data about you and want to exercise these rights, contact us using the address below.
