About Zano Wallet LLC

Independent third-party wallet software engineered for the Zano blockchain ecosystem. Built on cryptographic precision.

Who we are

Zano Wallet LLC is a software company. We build a desktop wallet for the Zano privacy blockchain. That's the entire business — one product, one focus.

We're based in Century City, California, at 2121 Avenue of the Stars. The company was incorporated in 2026 to publish this wallet under a single legal entity that owns its trademark, copyrights, and code.

Why third-party

Zano is a privacy-by-default Layer 1 with technical features that don't exist anywhere else: hidden-amount Proof-of-Stake, on-chain alias names, Confidential Assets, atomic swaps. The wallet ecosystem hasn't kept pace.

Existing options each compromise something — Cake is mobile-only, multi-chain wallets dilute focus, the Foundation wallet ships solid technical work but limited polish. We built a desktop-native, single-coin-focused, support-led wallet that meets users where they are.

Strictly Independent

The "Zano" name is shared by several unrelated entities. To prevent confusion:

  • The Zano Foundation runs the Zano blockchain at zano.org. We are not them.
  • A hardware wallet branded "Zano Wallet" is sold by ZAHN HOLDING in Liechtenstein. Different product, different company. We make desktop software only.
  • Mobile apps named "Zano Wallet" in the App Store and Google Play are published by another developer. Not our software.
  • The Zano drone (Torquing Group, 2014–2015) was a failed Kickstarter unrelated to the Zano cryptocurrency.
  • Nick Zano is an actor. Same surname, no connection.

If you searched for "Zano Wallet" and want our desktop software for the Zano blockchain — you're in the right place.

What we believe about privacy

Privacy is not optional. When privacy features are opt-in, the small group that uses them becomes easy to single out — opt-in privacy defeats itself by shrinking the anonymity set. Real privacy is privacy by default, enforced by the protocol, applied to every transaction whether the user thought to choose it or not.

We won't claim "100% untraceable." Anyone who does is lying. Privacy is layered: transaction privacy is strong by default on Zano; network-level (IP) privacy is opt-in via VPN or Tor; operational security is the user's responsibility. We're honest about all three layers on our security page.

Our posture on the Zano project

We picked Zano because the technology is sound — the cryptography, the consensus design, the feature set. We did not pick Zano based on a view about tokenomics, governance, or premine history. Those are debates for the chain's stakeholders to have on the chain's own surfaces.

If you're researching whether the Zano project itself is legitimate, the right place to ask is zano.org or the Zano Foundation directly. We can't speak for them and won't try. What we can do: maintain a wallet that works, ships verified releases, respects user privacy, and stays available regardless of what direction the broader project takes.
